A message for the Season -
The Salvation Army Derby Central Songsters' unique style of musical ministry, along with their lively programmes, has brought joy and spiritual enrichment to thousands of people who have heard this volunteer choir.
The Songsters, who are all members of the Derby Central Corps, come from various backgrounds and unite to serve and worship God in their church, The Salvation Army. They are teachers, nurses, students, civil servants, computer specialists, business men and women, legal and financial professionals.
Under the leadership of Ian Hammond, The Songsters put their faith into action, as do Salvationists around the world, by demonstrating God's loving for man through meeting physical and spiritual needs.
The Songster recordings and their international and domestic musical ministry tours have been a source of blessing and encouragement wherever the Songsters have ministered.
Whether singing in London's Royal Albert Hall, Derby Cathedral, or at home on a Sunday morning at the corps, the Songsters proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through musical praise.
